Dr. Mark Logan

Dr. Mark B. Logan graduated Summa Cum Laude from Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky. He was recognized as The Outstanding Senior Man for the class of 1988. He earned his Doctorate of Medicine from the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee.

He completed his General Surgery Internship and Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery residency at St. Louis University. Following residency, Dr. Logan performed a fellowship in Pediatric Ear, Nose, and Throat Surgery at LeBonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. 

Dr. Mark Logan is Board Certified by the American Academy of Otolaryngology with a practice encompassing the medical and surgical treatment of Pediatric and Adult ENT disorders. He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.  His specific interests include adult and pediatric sinus and allergy disorders, pediatric airway issues, and thyroid surgery. He has expertise with Pediatric Otolaryngology,  Allergy and Rhinology, Audiology, Head and Neck Cancer, Meniere's Disease/Dizziness, and Otology.

Dr. Mark Logan is a native of the Tri State area. He returned with his wife and children in 1998 and began practicing with Midwest Ear, Nose, and Throat Surgery. He is an active member of the local community.  Dr. Logan practices in Evansville and Tell City, Indiana locations as well as Henderson, Kentucky. 

 


Dr. Tom Logan

Dr. Thomas B. Logan received a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, and served a surgical internship there.  He did one year of General Surgery training at the Medical College of South Carolina and completed his Otorhinolaryngology residency at the University of North Carolina Medical Center.  

He then entered the United States Army and reached the rank of Major.  While stationed for two years at the Ft. Campbell Army Base, he served as Chief of ENT at the United States Army Hospital there.  

In 1974, Dr. Logan founded Midwest Ear, Nose, and Throat which now has offices in Henderson, Ky, Evansville, Vincinnes, Princeton and Tell City in Indiana.  Dr. Logan is board certified by the American Academy of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery.  He is a fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy and the American College of Surgeons.  He holds current licenses in Indiana, Kentucky and North Carolina.

He has served as Chief of the ENT section of two local hospitals and served as President of the Staff for two terms, and on the Executive Committee and as Chief of Surgery for more than twenty years. Dr. Logan served two terms as President of the Kentucky Ear, Nose and Throat Society. He has been on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery and served as Chairman of the Board of Governors of that organization. He also has served on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy and on the Executive Committee for ten years.

Dr. Logan's special interest is in treatment of allergic problems that involve the ear, nose, and throat. In addition, he has a special interest in the treatment of rhinosinusitis, as well as chronic ear disease and sudden loss of hearing. For the past several years, The Best Doctors in America has named him as one of the outstanding physicians in Otolaryngology. 
 


Dr. Young Paik

Dr. Young S. Paik was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri.  He attended Vanderbilt University and completed his undergraduate degree in Neuroscience.  He then pursued a career in medicine and received his medical degree at the University of Missouri School of Medicine.  He continued his training in Head and Neck Surgery by completing an Otolaryngology residency at the University of Missouri.  After residency training, he decided to further specialize and dedicate his training by completing a highly competitive American Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) fellowship under the tutelage of Dr. Keith LaFerriere, an internationally recognized leader in the field of facial plastic surgery, in Springfield, Missouri.  During this fellowship, Dr. Paik received advanced cosmetic and reconstructive training specializing specifically in the face and neck.

Dr. Paik is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology.  He is an active member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery as well as the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.  He has expertise in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Head and Neck Surgery, and Adult and Pediatric Ear, Nose, and Throat.  His office locations include Evansville and Vincennes, Indiana.

Dr. Paik has published several articles in the field of facial plastic surgery and head and neck surgery.  He has presented his research at national meetings and local organizations.  He is involved in humanitarian work and has traveled to Kijabe, Kenya to perform cleft lip and palate surgery.

During his free time, Dr. Paik enjoys fly-fishing, running, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends.

Dr. Ryan Palmer

Dr. Ryan Palmer grew up in Kalamazoo, MI and subsequently attended and graduated from DePauw University in Greencastle, IN.  He completed his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences.  While there, he was a member of Psi Sigma Alpha, the honorary osteopathic scholar fraternity, and Sigma Sigma Phi, the honorary osteopathic service fraternity.  Upon graduation, Dr. Palmer received the President’s Award given to an individual who has made significant and meritorious contributions to the larger community and for enhancing the public image of osteopathic medicine.

In addition to his work in medical school, he also completed a Master’s of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration at Rockhurst University in Kansas City.  He was chosen to become a member of Beta Gamma Sigma fraternity, an international business school honor society.  He was awarded the Outstanding Scholarship Award.

After graduation, Dr. Palmer completed a residency in Otolaryngology – Facial Plastic Surgery through Millcreek Community Hospital in Erie, PA.  During his residency, he served on the Council of Residents and Fellows with the American College of Osteopathic Otolaryngology and Ophthalmology.  He was awarded the Presidential Resident Recognition Certificate for professional achievement, or other valuable service performed on behalf of the Residency Training Programs or College Board.  He also completed a Master’s Degree in Medical Education. 

Dr. Palmer is currently certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery.  He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the American College of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.  His interests encompass general diseases of the pediatric and adult ear, nose and throat.

Outside of practicing medicine, Dr. Palmer enjoys spending time with his wonderful wife and three children.  With offices in Evansville and Vincennes, Dr. Palmer looks forward to serving the Tristate area for many years to come.


Dr. Michael Puricelli

Dr. Puricelli earned his BS, BA, and MD through the prestigious Conley Scholar Program at the University of Missouri, providing conditional acceptance to college and medical school prior to completion of high school. He continued at the University of Missouri for residency training in Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery and is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery, enabling him to confidently treat the full spectrum of Ear, Nose and Throat conditions in adults and children.

Dr. Puricelli has particular interest and expertise in treatment of the ear including hearing loss, chronic otitis media/cholesteatoma, and balance disorders. He completed a fellowship in Otology/Neurotology at the internationally recognized Paparella Ear, Head & Neck Institute in conjunction with the University of Minnesota Medical Center. Dr. Puricelli authored book chapters and peer-reviewed publications on topics including cochlear implantation, pediatric mastoiditis, otosclerosis, Meniere's disease, and temporal bone anatomy. In addition to traditional operating room surgeries, he offers in-office procedures including balloon sinus/eustachian tube dilation, and septal/turbinate surgery as well as manages seasonal allergies.

Dr. Puricelli is a creative problem solver and the recipient of a Wallace H. Coulter Foundation grant to develop a new surgical instrument used for minimally invasive endoscopic as well as traditional eardrum reconstruction. He holds a provisional patent for his contributions at this time.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Puricelli enjoys a variety of outdoor activities and spending time with his wonderful wife, Elizabeth, and their daughter.


Dr. Sarah Jacob

Dr. Sarah B. Jacob, a longtime resident of the Wabash Valley, was raised in Sullivan County, Indiana and graduated from North Central High School. She attended Purdue University where she graduated with honors in biochemistry and was an active member of Alpha Lambda Delta and Phi Eta Sigma honor societies. Subsequently, she earned her Doctorate of Medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine. While pursuing her medical degree, Dr. Jacob was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society.

Following medical school, Dr. Jacob continued her training in Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Louisville. During that time, she completed pediatric humanitarian work in Ecuador and presented her research about tonsillectomies in children with sleep apnea at the national level. She is board certified by the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.

After residency, Dr. Jacob was fortunate enough to be able to return home and practice medicine in Vincennes with Good Samaritan Hospital. She looks forward to raising her family here and serving the community she grew up in. Outside of medicine, Dr. Jacob enjoys spending time with her husband and two children as well as her extended family.
