Meet Our Team

Dr. Sara Labhart

Dr. Sara Labhart serves as Director of Audiology at Midwest Ear, Nose, and Throat, Surgery.  She received her Bachelor Degree in Hearing Sciences from Indiana University and her Doctorate in Audiology from the University of Louisville.  Dr. Labhart is a licensed audiologist and hearing instrument specialist in the states of Indiana and Kentucky and holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.  Her clinical interests focus on auditory disorders in the adult and geriatric population.  She was born and raised in the Evansville, IN area and loves being able to help the people in and around her home town.  Outside of professional work, Dr. Labhart enjoys spending time with local family and friends, especially when accompanied by her husband and their new son Eli.

 

Dr. Nicole Payne

Dr. Nicole Payne received her Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders from Middle Tennessee State University and Doctorate of Audiology from East Tennessee State University.   She is a licensed audiologist in the states of Indiana and Kentucky and holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.  Dr. Payne is focused on the enhancement of hearing and balance healthcare by providing her patients with information acquired through evidenced-based practices that will allow them to make informed, collaborative decisions.  As a professional, she hopes to positively impact the next generation of audiologists, improve upon patient-centered clinical practices, and contribute to the continuing development of the field.  In her free time, Dr. Payne enjoys spending time with her partner and their Great Dane.

 

Dr. Abigail Garrett

Dr. Abigail Garrett received a Bachelor of Science in the Recording Arts and Doctorate in Audiology from Indiana University.  Dr. Garrett is a licensed audiologist in the states of Indiana, Kentucky, and Illinois and holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.  Prior to joining Midwest Ear, Nose, & Throat Surgery, she practiced audiology in the Chicago, IL area for over 5 years, working in private practice, university research, and hospital settings.  Dr. Garrett was born and raised in the Evansville area and enjoys providing a full range of audiology services to the people of her home community.  Shee particularly enjoys educating and empowering her patients in selecting hearing solutions that meet their needs and improve their quality of life.  Her spare time is devoted to her husband and new daughter Edith.

 

Dr. Krista Hendrix

Dr. Krista Hendrix received both her Bachelor of Science in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences and her Doctorate of Audiology from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.  Dr. Hendrix is a licensed audiologist in the state of Indiana and holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American-Speech-Language Hearing Association.  Her clinical interests focus on auditory disorders in the pediatric through geriatric populations as well as tinnitus management.  Dr. Hendrix thoroughly enjoys educating individuals and their families regarding auditory related disorders and respective management plans.  Dr. Hendrix was born and raised in Vincennes, Indiana and is grateful for the opportunity to serve those in her hometown.  In her spare time, Dr. Hendrix enjoys practicing yoga and running as well as traveling with her husband.
